On
a mission to salsify Australia...
" My vision has always been to establish and support
an entertaining Latino music,
dance
and culture scene for mainstream Australians to enjoy, embrace
and celebrate "

LA BOMBA PRODUCTIONS
AUSTRALIA - HISTORY
The concept of La Bomba was concieved one lazy sunny day by Chilean/
Australian promoter Natalie Stansfield while walking along the
malecon in Havana, Cuba, July 1997. On returning to Adelaide in
1998, Natalie commenced her unique and entertaining Latino music
radio show LA BOMBA on Radio Adelaide 101.5 FM. The aim of La
Bomba
was
always to give exposure and support local Latino artists.
As
Natalie became aquainted with Adelaide's vast wealth of talented
local Latin American musicians she commenced organising events.
Natalie's extensive experience
in community radio, marketing, journalism and multicultural youth
project work laid the perfect foundations for the skills needed
to run a dynamic business like LA BOMBA PRODUCTIONS AUSTRALIA.
Natalie's first project was a resounding success organising the
LATIN ALL STARS show featuring 6 Latin groups playing salsa, Latin
hip hop, Andean funk, boleros and rumba. The concert was recorded
and the Latin All Stars CD was released for promotional purposes.
Natalie's biggest achievement to date has been the creation and
evolution of the national TROPICANA latino groove FESTIVAL incorporating
the national salsa dance competition.

Street Latin Dance Classes
La Bomba's
talented crew of Latin dance instructors are dedicated to providing
a true Latino dance experience.
Latin dance classes are popping up all over the place, but La
Bomba teaches the authentic STREET style of Latin dance. La Bomba
teaches you to dance the way Latino people dance at fiesta's and
carnivals throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. It's a suave
style of social dance that incorpoprates freestyle hip movements
and foot work and is loads of fun with or with out a partner,
unlike the formal technical styles of Latin Ballroom.
La Bomba's instructors hail from Colombia, Cuba, Chile, Brazil,
Peru, El Salvador, Uruguay and Australia.
They
are professional and friendly dancers that were born with a Latino
spirit that they want to share with everyone. La Bomba are South
Australia's largest Latin dance school and we specialise in Salsa,
Samba, Merengue and Reggaeton. We teach 13 classes a week and
have instructed around Australia and in Asia since 1999.
Latin
entertainment consultants, concert promotions and publicity
La
Bomba have been contracted to work on many successful international
Latino music and dance tours, festivals
and
events by: I.C.A (international concert attractions), ATA All
stars, Mario Maiolo, Hocking & Vigo, Womadelaide, Adelaide
